Preventing Lower Back Injuries in High-Level Weightlifting Athletes
OLYMPIA - FYDP Project
OLYMPIA is a dual-purpose lifting harness which helps to prevent lower back injuries in weightlifting athletes. It does this by correcting the user's posture actively whilst teaching them long-term proprioception of the movements.

OLYMPIA's App
The paired app instructs the user on the set up of OLYMPIA. It also track progress over time and gives tips on when it's safe for the user to increase the load for their workouts based on their performance.
Model Details

Dream Beans - Automatic Aeropress
As part of the BSc, we completed an applications of Mechanics and electronics project earlier this year. This project involved utilizing our knowledge of mechanical systems, C-programming and embedded systems to create a fully automated coffee machine.
Olivia Maria Chevallier
Hard-working, inspired and Enthusiastic. I approach every aspect of life with excitement and always strive to go the extra mile for projects I’m involved in. I am highly organized and enjoy designing innovative & beautiful products. I believe that products should be designed with the user's experience in mind and should add value to their lives in some form and find a meaningful solution to the problem identified.
I relish all stages in the design journey. Firstly, dissecting the problem and re-framing it from the user's point of view. Then, going through iterative concept development whereby a series of design directions are explored and tested until the optimal solution is found. I utilize low-fidelity prototyping and electronics to validate the principle functionality and user interaction of my concepts. Detailing development and design for manufacture are heavily considered to create a feasible outcome to every project. The aspects of design that I enjoy the most are innovating, concept sketching , user experience design and creating illustrative storyboards to communicate the functionality of the product to the users or clients. My career aspiration in the coming years is to work for a consultancy, where I will be exposed to a wide variety of projects and will be able to develop as designer as be inspired by my peers.
