Enhancing Classic Cars through Retrofit Technology
Enhancing Classic Cars Through The Incorporation Of Modern Technology
Providing classic cars with modern capabilities present in current vehicles, whilst maintaining the design elements present in the 1970's. The retrofitted device mounted on the dashboard would enhance the drivers experience by displaying key information on the touchscreen display.
Dash - Retrofit Infotainment System For Classic Cars
Dash uses a touchscreen display, styled to match the auxiliary gauges present in the classic car, that provides the user with features ranging from navigation to music, enhanced by the integrated speakers.
Tailored To The Customer
Customizability to the exterior detailing, at the point of purchase, ensures each device is tailored to match the interior design present in the owner's classic vehicle.
Y-Strainer Re-design
An injection moulded acetal y-strainer with a stainless steel cylindrical mesh that filters a water supply passing through. A 5/16" outlet connection offers customers a metric or imperial solution to attach to their water fittings.
Placement Experience
Injection moulding the final part whilst on placement at Hydro Systems and seeing it integrated into production assemblies.
Glacier - A Smart Food Storage Device For The Outdoors
A smart food storage device for the outdoors providing excursions with the control of temperature through thermoelectric cooling, lighting and sound through your linked mobile device.
Manufacturability Of Glacier
The modular, rotor moulded design is made from recycled ocean plastics. The Glacier product also offers food safe injection moulded containers that slot into the internal cavity.
Enhancing The Packaging Of Food Delivery Services
Taste the world is a cultural themed food delivery service that offers families a unique product that provides the exact ingredients, activities, music and entertainment associated to a country of their choice.

The retrofit infotainment system for classic cars provides entertainment functionalities and information services to the driver and passengers inside the vehicle. This is achieved through the interaction of connected devices, presented on a collapsible, touch sensitive display and navigated by a push button and multiple toggle switches.
During my placement year at Hydro Systems Europe, designing chemical dispensing equipment for industrial laundries. I developed my CAD and injection moulding knowledge in particular, as well as exposure to working within a design engineering team. Designing a y-strainer, which is a small water filtration device, was my best achievement on placement as I worked on it from start to finish seeing the final injection moulded component incorporated into the production assemblies of other products.
