SENSO- A SYSTEM OF PRODUCTS TO HELP IMPROVE CYCLISTS' SITUATIONAL AWARENESS OF VEHCILES BEHIND, WHICH COULD REDUCE ACCIDENT RISK.
SENSO- A system of products to help improve cyclists' situational awareness of vehicles behind.
Utilising sensor fusion of MMwave radar, day and night camera optics and an object recognition algorithm enables SENSO to track critical information regarding vehicles behind. This data is used to display speed, distance, vehicle type and quantity to the cyclist. Haptic grips alert the cyclist of critical information and enables indicating direction whist remaining in full control of the bicycle.
SENSO's rear device
SENSO's rear device comprises of a reactive red light that changes sequence and intensity depending on the distance of the vehicle behind, drawing drivers' attention to the cyclist. The device also has directional chaser style indicators to give drivers warning of the cyclists intended travel. By utilising sensor fusion of MMwave radar and a triple camera array the device can detect the type of vehicles present behind as well as quantity and speed.
Lull - An aid for anxiety sufferers
By Utilising EQ-Radio a new technology Lull can infer a person’s emotions using wireless signals. Combined with the use of isochronic tones Lull can change brainwave frequencies to fall into step with a periodic stimulus having a frequency corresponding to the intended brain-state, effectively rewiring the brain. Stress and anxiety relief - Low beta or alpha frequency isochronic tones will help to lower your dominant frequency, reducing feelings of stress or anxiety. Meditation and Relaxation - Using low alpha and theta frequencies will help guide your brain to these deeply relaxing and sometimes enlightening mental states. Increase Focus, Cognition and Memory - Alpha stimulation can also be helpful in improving your ability to memorise and retain information. Improving Sleep and for Power Napping - Reducing beta activity and increasing more in the low delta frequency range helps get to sleep faster. Energy and Motivation - Increasing the amount of higher beta and gamma brainwave activity can help boost your energy levels.
Synergy- Recycling food waste into usable energy
Through the use of smart sensors and one way valves Synergy produces nutrient rich compost and methane fuel for use in outdoor cooking and heating through anaerobic composting. Enabling the users to enjoy their outdoor living space for longer into the evening.
šef- For the love of food
A multi-functional 3D food printer capable of satisfying the needs of the most experienced chef as well as those that lack a certain talent making šef suitable for everyone.
Hardiflon Ltd High Temperature lightweight press concept render
Proof of concept- Designed on Solidedge utilising carbon fibre composite tubing and aluminium to create a lightweight press for sealing conveyor belts for the food canning industry. This design met the product specification brief by reducing the weight of the current press by 70kg.
Retail EXPO stand design for Design4Retail
Collaboratively designed within a team to help design the stand for the company to showcase the ethos as a retail design company. With the help of 2 others we syringed paint onto the stand to create the idea the company is overflowing with creativity. Drinks boards were designed that correspond to each sector within the company. "A splash of creativity".
Hardiflon Ltd High temperature lightweight press
Co-designed with the production manager to create a lightweight press for sealing conveyor belts for the food canning industry. The brief was to reduce the weight of the existing press by over 70 kg. This requirement was reduced further and a contract of £100,000 for 10 presses per annum was gained.

I am an Industrial Designer focusing on how we can use technological advancements to solve real-world problems.
A key highlight of working in industry prior to my degree was while I was a Design Engineer at Hardiflon Ltd. I co-designed a lightweight high-temperature press for sealing conveyor belts for the food canning industry. The solution reduced the weight of the existing press by 80kg to a total of 60kg with a contract of £100,000 per annum of 10 presses. I have applied the design thinking learnt while in industry throughout my degree. This has allowed me to ensure that all of my projects have aligned technical feasibility with user requirements. In the future, I hope to be able to be involved in all parts of the design process from designing through to manufacture. I find creating a 3D form physically to be the most interesting part of the process.
