A project developing the Malaysia Airlines first class product on Airbus A350. Work during placement was heavily involved in developing innovative aircraft interior and seating solutions for top tier airlines.
1 Week Live Project
A wall mounted shower unit that reduces the need for single use plastic bathroom products, while simultaniously reducing clutter in the bathroom.
James Hudson
I am an ambitious and thorough industrial designer who aims to identify and develop the most delightful solutions to any brief. I believe in constant iteration, with the mindset that everything can be improved in order to develop the best solution for the user and the client.
All of my work stems from a deep understanding users needs, what is currently on the market and how these can be improved, and emerging technologies and how these can be utilised. While on placement my skills were put into practice in a fast paced design consultancy. It was here that I was able to develop my skills to a professional standard that would exceed the expectations of even the most critical of clients. I have an in depth understanding of the Adobe CC, primarily Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I have also developed a strong skill set using 3D modelling and rendering softwares such as Solidworks, 3Ds Max, Blender and Keyshot, all used heavily during placement year and while at university. I aim to further develop and utilise these skills in a design team, surrounded by experienced and talented designers to progress and improve further as a designer.
