Occupant Safety in the Vehicles of Today and Tomorrow

As an Ergonomist working in Vehicle Safety, my focus is on understanding and improving the protection of occupants during crash scenarios. While conducting legislative tests during my placement year, it became evident safety testing does not encompass natural human behaviour and has little consideration for the future. This project investigates the influences on young drivers’ safety in future autonomous vehicles.
