REMOTE RECORDING AND TRACKING OF CATTLE

The applicator and ear tag side by side. During use, the tag is positioned in the spring-loaded applicator before it is cocked, placed around the cow's ear, and fired.

The tag, yellow to mimic the existing tags, contains a GPS module, microcomputer, and a rechargeable coin cell in order to frequently update data regarding the cow's location.

The applicator uses a spring-loaded mechanism to pierce the cow's ear and apply the tag in one motion after the trigger has been pulled.
