Ada: Improving the experience of storing and self administering Adalimumab in the home
Ada
Adalimumab is an immunosuppressant biologic drug used to treat a variety of different illnesses from Crohn’s Disease to Arthritis. Administered at home, the responsibility is upon the user, of which there are over 1 million worldwide. Ada is a refrigerated Adalimumab pen dispenser and disposer working as part of a system to keep the user’s medication secure and all in one place. Tailoring to user needs through its interface and app, Ada encourages compliance, confidence and experience by setting reminders for dates and notifying optimal administration temperatures.
Flo
A personalised, liquid absorbing ostomy bag utilising polyacrylamide gel crystals with the aim of reducing the adjustment period faced by non-elective ostomates. Leaks are the most common problem ostomates face and fear. By removing this, Flo regains ostomates trust in self and product reducing risks of mental health and body image issues.
Gaze
Gaze was part of a week long project in response to a brief addressing small space living. Gaze is an immersive projector providing visual and auditory stimulation for those confined to sedentary lifestyles. By bringing the user outside their typical environment, Gaze reduces claustrophobia, boredom and helplessness.
Insight Driven
All projects of mine have been steered by authentic user driven insights to ultimately create simple and empathetic designs. Many of my design approaches begin with visually mapping the brief and ideating through organising and grouping concepts.
Rae Bradley
Hi, I am a user-centred designer with a focus on creating engaging and effective user experiences.
My design process has always strived for genuine, user-centric design solutions. I utilise a variety of detailed research approaches to ascertain authentic user driven insights to ultimately create simple and empathetic designs. I am a reliable communicator with a robust team work ethic looking to make a tangible impact to lives with my work. Taking a less traditional approach during placement year at a Wayfinding and Brand Implementation company, Endpoint, I broadened my design toolkit learning to fully appreciate the importance of understanding human psyche and user needs. I plan to continue my career broadening my knowledge and applying everything I have learnt over the past 4 years to create insightful, engaging solutions that satisfy user requirements.
